Ellen Louise Tippey, 62, of Havana died April 19, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born Sept. 1, 1951, in Pekin, a daughter of Eldon and Shirley Graff Keith. She married Larry Tippey of Lewistown on Oct. 4, 1969, in Havana. They divorced.
Surviving are one son, Kevin (and Angie) Tippey of Petersburg; and one daughter, Amaris “Amy” Tippey of Gainesville, Fla.; and two sisters, Jeanie Hickman of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Julie (and John) Moore of Manito.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a graduate of VIT High School in 1969, and in 1994 graduated magna cum laude from Western Illinois University in Macomb. She was an honorary member of Phi Kappa Phi.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with services following at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana. A luncheon will immediately follow. Committal Services will be held at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Manito at 2:30 p.m.
