Marjorie Thompson

Marjorie ThompsonMarjorie E. Thompson, 88, of Lewistown died at 9:07 a.m. Feb. 17, 2014, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

She was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Bushnell, a daughter of Carl Henry and Irma Belle Coney Rogers. She married Robert Thompson on Oct. 26, 1946, in Havana. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2001.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.

Surviving are one son, Brad Thompson of Canton; one daughter, Jody (and James) McDonald of Hanna City; and two grandchildren.

She was a farm wife and also a school bus driver in Lewistown. She also had worked at Camp Ellis in her earlier years.

She was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown, Lewistown Rebekah Lodge, Order of Eastern Star and LAPM and Lewistown VFW Auxiliary.

Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
