Grace ThompsonGrace Clarice Thompson, 92, of Rushville died at 7:10 a.m. May 30, 2013, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mount Sterling.

She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Versailles, a daughter of John Milton and Jennie May Gaddis Hume. She married Robert E. Thompson on Jan. 21, 1942, in Louisiana, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1995.

She also was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Ehrenhart.

Surviving are two sons, John (and Cindy) Thompson of Mount Sterling and David (and Brenda) Thompson of Poplar Grove; two daughters, Suzanne Hamm of Rushville and Carol Beard of Peoria; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a housewife and worked as a custodian for Schuyler School Dist. #1 in Rushville for many years before retiring.

She was a member of Rushville Free Methodist Church.

Services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Rose Ross officiating. Burial followed in Rushville City Cemetery.
