Charles "Spike" TaylorCharles R. "Spike" Taylor, 78, of Lewistown died at 7:46 a.m. May 9, 2012, at Graham Hospital.

He was born Feb. 3, 1934, in Geneseo, a son of Walter H. and Nellie Powell Taylor. He married Sharon Sipe on Sept. 2, 1956, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Eric Taylor of Lewistown; two daughters, Dondra (and John) Yocum of Lewistown and Francie (and Yancey) Black of Cordova, Tenn.; two brothers, Walter Taylor Jr. and Robert Taylor, both of Galesburg; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He worked as a drag line operator for Asarco Coal Company, and as an autobody repairman.

He was a founding member of Gear Jammers Car Club in Canton and a member of UMWA.

Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
