She was born Aug. 13, 1956, in Rushville, a daughter of Phillip Eugene “John” and Ruby Hilton Haney. She married David Thomas on Feb. 14, 1975, in Vermont. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Chris (and LeAnne) Haney of LaHarpe and Danny Joe (and special friend Lori Bair) Thomas of Vermont; her father and stepmother, Phillip “John” (and Barbara) Haney Sr. of Vermont; one brother, Steve (and Tess) Haney of Vermont; one sister, Sharon (and Randall) Stracker of Table Grove; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and one brother, Phillip Eugene “Joe” Haney Jr.
She worked at Clayton Mark Foundry in Vermont, housekeeping departments of both McDonough District Hospital and Holiday Inn in Macomb. She was an EMT with Vermont Rescue Squad.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville. Burial will follow in Vermont Cemetery.
