Anna Taylor-Adkins

Anna L. Taylor-Adkins, 67, of Astoria died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2002, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 8, 1934, in Calloway County, Mo., a daughter of Daniel Price and Hattie Virginia Baker Day. She married William B. Taylor on Nov. 22, 1952, in Harrison, Ark. He died April 16, 1978.

She also was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Linda Peterson; one brother; and one sister.

She later married Jody C. Adkins on Dec. 29, 1995. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Danny (and Paula) Taylor of Astoria and Bobby (and Angie) Taylor of Canton; four stepsons, Joe Adkins of Battle Creek, Mich., William Jr. (and Naomi) Taylor of Richmond, Ind., Charles (and Judy) Taylor of Spruce Pine, N.C., and Jack Taylor of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Lisa (and George) Timmons of Lewistown and Robin (and Jim) Gorsuch of Decatur; three stepdaughters, Jessie (and Everett) Bugg of Hillview, and Jeneanne (and John) Marble and Marsha Taylor, both of Sour Lake, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 28 greatgrandchildren; one brother Robert Day of Moberly, Mo.; and two sisters, Mary Chambers of Canton and Susie Ash of Moberly.

She was a tool crib operator for Brazier Mine Co. in Shawneetown.

She was of the Christian faith.

Services were held Monday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton, with Rev. Ronald White officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.

Memorials may be made to Schuyler County Hospice in Rushville.
