MARY ANN THOMPSON

Mary Thompson

Mary Ann Thompson, 92, of Cuba, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at Clayberg Fulton County Nursing Center.

She was born April 15, 1907, southeast of Ipava, a daughter of Martin Luther and Pearl Counselman Thompson.

Surviving are two brothers, James (and Mary Beth) Thompson of Knoxville and Paul (and Margaret) Thompson of Cuba; one nephew; and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

She worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Cuba for 19 years.

A 70-year member of Cuba Christian Church, she also was a member of its Loyal Friends class.

Services were Thursday at her church with Rev. Amy Wharton and Rev. Kenneth Bloyd officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery in Ipava. Henry Memorial Home in Cuba was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her church or the Clayberg Fulton County Nursing Center.
