ANNA JAYNE (SLOVER) THOMAS

Anna Jayne Slover Thomas, 69, of Richmond, Texas, formerly of Moline and Astoria, died at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.

She was born May 24, 1929, in Vermont, the daughter of Rex M. Slover and Clela Bell Fisk Mullen. She was previously married to the late Wayne Thomas.

Surviving are one son, Dr. Christopher W. Thomas of Manitowoc, Wis., and one daughter, Rebecca J. Rivenburg of Richmond, Texas; and two grandsons, Shawn Christopher Thomas and Jonathan Parker Rivenburg.

She was employed for 24 years at the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island. She was an auditor fo the Department of the Army, DARCOM division, retiring in 1992. She previously had worked for Caterpillar in Peoria. She also owned and operated her own income tax business for 25 years in the Quad City area. She was a member of the National Association of Federal Employees, National Association of Female Executives and AARP.

Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with her cousin, Arthur Smith, officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery.
