Mary Ann Twaddle, 63, of Carthage, died at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 1996, at Carthage Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
She was born May 15, 1933, in McDonough County to Howard and Helen Stoneking Payne. She married John Twaddle on Nov. 19, 1960, in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Johnnie Twaddle of Bowen and Joe Twaddle of Table Grove; one daughter, Mrs. Steve (Julie) Campbell of Augusta; four brothers, Don Payne of Industry, Gene Payne of Silvis, Butch Payne of Augusta, Jerry Payne of Ferris; five sisters, Bonnie Hurst of East Moline, Linda Winters of Hanna City, Sally Hester of Rushville, Pat White of Plymouth, and Betty Sue Reynolds of Macomb; six grandchildren, Jeremy Twaddle of Colona, Iowa, Kelly Twaddle of Augusta, Jennifer Twaddle of Bowen, Nathan and Nie Campbell of Augusta and Trey Twaddle of Table Grove; and one great-grandchild, Koal Twaddle of Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother.
Mrs. Twaddle was a homemaker and cook at Augusta Shelter Care. She attended Augusta Schools and was a member of the Huntsville Methodist Church. She was a member of Augusta Lioness Club and the HEO Sewing Club.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 11, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta with Rev. Ed Boussard officiating. Burial was in the Scotts Cemetery in Plymouth.
Memorials may be made to the St. John’s Hospital Heart Transplant Program.
