Temple Teel

Temple H. Teel, 81, of Industry, died at 1:25 p.m. Friday, May 17, 1996, at the Snyders-Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

He was born Feb. 9, 1915, in Industry, a son of Walter and Maude Parr Teel. He married Mildred Woodruff in 1940. She preceded him in death in 1977. He later married Wilma Heaton Peak in Blandinsville in 1979. She survives.

He is also survived by one stepdaughter, Patricia Qualls of Moline; one stepson, Ronald Peak of Rushville; one sister, Juanita Wood of Macomb; four step-grandchildren, Rhonda Peak of Blandinsville, Rene Qualls of Denver, Colo., Michael Kessler of Rushville, and Mark Kessler of Astoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jackie, two brothers, Harold and Dwight, and one sister, Guehla Houston.

He was a farmer in the Industry area for most of his life. He retired from farming in 1978.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Burial was in the Industry Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Snyders-Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
