Lawrence Tippey, 81, of Havana, died Feb. 21, in Mary-Henry Nursing Home, Lincoln.
Born on Dec. 23, 1898, in Kerton Township, Fulton County, he was a son of Ellsworth and Lillie Beaty Tippey. His marriage to Henrietta Zeeck took place at Bath on Apr. 1, 1956. She survives.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Verna McCody of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Pearl Fisk of Peoria.
Mr. Tippey was a retired farmer and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Bath.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Edward Purdy officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
