Frank “Penny” Thompson, 75, of Astoria, died Friday, Jan. 17, 1975.
He was born in Schuyler County on April 20, 1899, a son of Joseph and Nancy Skiles Thompson. He married Ruth McNeeley Sept. 19, 1931. She died Sept. 28, 1958.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Lindsey of Astoria; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one half brother, John Thompson of Tennessee.
Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Thompson was a retired farmer. He was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Michael Hargrave officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery near Rushville.
