Rev. B. Lee Towsley, former pastor of the United Brethren church in Astoria, passed away Friday at a hospital in Bloomington, where he was confined for only a few days. He was approximately 68 years old.
Rev. Towsley was pastor of the United Brethren church at Decatur until about a week ago when he retired and moved to Saybrook, where he passed his youth. He is survived by his wife and one son, Hollis.
Several from here attended the funeral, which was held Monday afternoon at Saybrook. Interment was made in the cemetery there.
