LOTTIE BELLE TRONE

Ten Year Old Child Died Sunday of Scarlet Fever

Lottie Belle Trone, the ten-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Trone, who reside on North Liberty street, died on Sunday of scarlet fever. She was born Dec. 15, 1925.

Her death is keenly mourned by her parents and two brothers, Everett Dean and John Jr., as her young life was ended with appalling suddenness and the nature of her illness was not known until a short time before her death.

So far as known this is the first case of scarlet fever to develop in Rushville this fall, and the home has been placed under quarantine to guard against spread of the disease which is highly contagious.

Owing to the nature of the disease which brought about her death no public funeral was held, services being conducted at the grave in Christian Neck cemetery, Rushville township, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. Mack A. Warren.
