Perry Tingley

VERMONT — Perry Jennings Tingley, youngest son of Jacob and Catherine Tingley, was born in Vermont, Ill., June 26, 1867, and passed away Sunday morning, aged 52 years, 7 months and 19 days. He was married to Mellissa J. Strausbaugh August 15, 1898. Besides his wife there remains to mourn his departure one brother, U. S. Tingley of Eldorado township, one sister, Miss Emma of Vermont, other relatives and many friends. For the past eight years he has been superintendent of Vermont’s municipal lighting plant, maintaining it in a highly efficient manner. The funeral services were conducted at the Masonic hall Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. O. W. Rose officiating assisted by Rev. Fred Wilson.
