RACHEL (KELLEY) TIDRICK

Died At Kewanee

Mrs. A. R. Tidrick died at Kewanee Friday of last week. She was the daughter of William and Eliza Kelley. She was born at Sheldons Grove, Ill., October 3, 1855, and at the time of her death was 64 years, 4 months and 10 days old. Her maiden name was Rachel Kelley.

Her marriage to Alexander R. Tidrick took place May, 1872, the ceremony being performed at Bader, Ill. To the union were born five children, a daughter, Millie S., dying in infancy. Two other daughters, Lillian and Goldie, passed away several years ago. The children who survive their mother are, Mrs. Edith E. Swartwood of Farmington, Ill., Harry E. Tidrick of Kewanee; three stepchildren, Levi M. Tidrick, Astoria, Ill., Mrs. Etta Parker, Murphysboro, Ill., Mrs. Della Bogg, Wilkinson, Wash. There are also twenty-five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tidrick is also survived by her aged companion, A. R. Tidrick of Kewanee, and a sister, Mrs. Laura Bennett, Waynesfield, O.

Mrs. Tidrick had been a resident of Kewanee for about seventeen years, and for a number of years she had suffered with asthma and heart trouble. Her condition became worse recently, and she suffered several severe falls. In hope of bettering her condition she was taken to the Kewanee Public hospital Thursday morning.

Funeral services were held at the home of her son, Harry Tidrick, at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon. Burial at the Wethersfield cemetery.
