Amanda Jane Turner was born Jan. 12, 1885, and died at her home in Astoria, Oct. 9, 1902, aged 17 years, 8 months and 27 days.
Death came unexpectedly which made the blow all the harder upon the bereaved family.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of her father, Samuel Turner, last Friday afternoon by Rev. D. E. Baer, after which the body was laid to rest in Salem cemetery.
