Cuthbert M. “Beth” Strong, 90, of LaBelle, Fla., formerly of Rushville, died May 31, 2020, at her home.Cuthbert M. “Beth” Strong, 90, of LaBelle, Fla., formerly of Rushville, died May 31, 2020, at her home.
She was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Glades County, Fla., a daughter of William Henry and Cuthbert Browning McDuffie. She married Thomas Brines Strong on April 15, 1966, in Fresno, Calif. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 2003.
Surviving are one son, William Michael “Mike” Douglas of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; one brother, Henry McDuffie of Lakeport, Fla.; and one sister, Glenora Purvis of Leigh Acres, Fla.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville. Burial will be in the Rushville City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
