She was born May 27, 1928, in Vermont, a daughter of Lawrence and Ila “Edna” Pennell Chasteen. She married Daniel “Dan” Shank on Dec. 16, 1950, in Fort Louis, Wash. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Mark (and Paula) Shank, Todd (and Lori) Shank and Brad (and Laurie) Shank; one brother, Robert (and Carolyn) Chasteen; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Laurel “Pinky” Chasteen and Wayne Chasteen; and one sister, Virginia (Chasteen) Gallien.
A graveside service was held Tuesday at Vermont Cemetery. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton was in charge of arrangements.
