Charles ShawCharles Duane Shaw, 78, of Littleton died at 5:45 p.m. May 19, 2020, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

He was born July 1, 1941, in Lexington, a son of Virgil Webster and Dorothea Mae Powell Shaw. He married Sharon Kay Mason on Oct. 29, 1960, in Chenoa. She survives.

Also surviving are four children, Marianna Christine (and John) Miller, Charles Wade Shaw, Justin Dale (and Bonnie) Shaw and Frank Samuel (and Brianne) Shaw; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Andrew C. Shaw; and four siblings, Edna Shaw, Donald E. Shaw, Wanda J. Schieber and Darrell W. Shaw.

He graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1959. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-63. He retired from Caterpillar in 1992 after working in a variety of positions during his 30-year career with them.

He was a member of Beardstown Life Family Church, Brooklyn Township Board of Trustees, Schuyler County Shooters Club and the Mascouten Bay Long Rifles.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
