Angela M. (Frank) Shirley, 41, died at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 31, 2019, at Methodist Medical Center surrounded by loved ones, after fighting cancer for more than two years.Angela M. She was born Jan. 28, 1978, at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., the daughter of Gregory N. and June M. Yaeger Frank. She married John I. Shirley on Sept. 18, 2010, in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Garrett and Jakob; one daughter, Olivia; her mother, June; one brother, Gregory A. (and Kathryn) Frank and their daughters Julianna and Ava; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gregory; maternal grandparents, Albert H. and Dorothy J. Yaeger; and paternal grandparents, Frederick N. and Marian W. Frank.
She was a 1996 graduate of Peoria Notre Dame and completed her degree from Bradley University in 2003. She worked as a teacher’s assistant and librarian in multiple District 150 schools over the years. She was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Services were held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday with a recitation of the rosary. A funeral Mass took place Saturday. Franciscan Friars officiated. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria. Wright and Salmon Mortuary in Peoria was in charge of arrangements.
