Horace “Bud” Franklin Sisson Jr., 77, of Kilbourne died at 8:40 a.m. July 12, 2017, at his home.

He was born Dec. 26, 1939, in Kilbourne, a son of Horace Franklin Sr. and Ruth Lynn Sisson. He married Doris Fry on Nov. 15, 1963, in Kilbourne. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Susan (and Jon) Lacey of Havana and Kelly (and Jim) Lascelles of Ipava; one brother, Robert (and Lyn) Sisson of Springfield; one sister, Sandra Ebert of Kilbourne; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Deanna Butler.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Kilbourne.

He worked for Caterpillar Inc., in the foundry, for 26 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Kilbourne Fire Department, BLS and Township Board. He also had been active with the Mason County 4-H Fair.

A memorial service was held Monday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Ed Ingram officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Kilbourne Cemetery.
