Zona SperryZona Zumwalt Sperry, 56, of Rushville, formerly of Pittsfield, died at 7:09 p.m. March 19, 2012, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Oct. 25, 1955, in Pittsfield, a daughter of Richard and Dorothy Gwartney Zumwalt. She married Craig Sperry on May 27, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tracy (and Jody) Simpson of Rushville and Melisa Constable (and friend John Bolton) of Louisiana, Mo.; two brothers, Rick (and Andrea) Zumwalt of Marblehead and Randy (and Lori) Zumwalt of Baylis; three sisters, Carol Barnes of Pittsfield, Debbie (and Jim) Daniels of Perry and Darla (and Greg) Hobson of Valley City; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She graduated from Pittsfield High School and attended John Wood Community College.

For over 18 years, she was a waitress at Red Dome Inn in Pittsfield. She later worked at Bartlow Brothers in Rushville for five years and most recently worked at Ansell-Hawkeye in Beardstown for the last eight years.

She was a member of Women of the Moose in Rushville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend Steve Pichaske officiating. Graveside services will be noon at Oakwood Cemetery in Pittsfield. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville.

Memorials may be made to her grandchildren's education fund.
