DANIEL F. STARBUCK

Daniel F. Starbuck, 81, of Lewistown died at 2:48 p.m. Oct. 5, 2011, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Blandinsville, a son of William Earl and Lola Bourn Starbuck. He married Norma Lawson on Dec. 1, 1950, in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Charlene (and Jim) Abernathy of Table Grove; one son, Mark (and Rebecca) Starbuck of Ipava; one sister, Marjorie Shake of Coal Valley; one brother, Bruce (and Vicky) Starbuck of Cuba; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Morrison.

He was in the U.S. Army, serving as a Corporal in the 21st Engineer Company from 1951-53.

He was owner/operator of Dan's TV and Appliance in Ipava and Lewistown for 45 years, retiring in 2008.

He was a member of Ipava Christian Church, Ipava American Legion Post #17 and Ipava Masonic Lodge #213 for over 50 years.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Pastor Dave Vandeman officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery with military rites provided by Ipava American Legion Post #17.
