She was born May 2, 1918, in Emington, a daughter of Ellis and Leah Reavis. She married Loren E. Holt on Oct. 31, 1936, in Colfax. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1984. She then married Jim Steele. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are one son, Don (and Jennifer) Holt of Lowell, Ind.; two daughters, Shirley (and Dale) Roberts of Havana and Ann (and Jim) Souders of Paradise, Texas; one sister, Helen Eaker of Palmetto, Fla.; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was a Christian Church minister’s wife for 48 years, working with the youth at the churches where she and her husband pastored.
She was a member of Havana Church of Christ and Christian Church.
Services were held Monday at her church with Gordon Clymer and Bill Boyce officiating. Burial was in Blue Mound Cemetery in Cooksville. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
