He was born Feb. 18, 1971, in Canton, a son of William G. and Barbara Wys Simpson.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara Simpson of Lewistown; one brother, Todd (and Kerry) Simpson of Lewistown; and two sisters, Cindy (and Marian) Jugovic of Canton and Lisa (and Jim) Tunney of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one grandmother, Jeanette Wys.
He was a 1989 graduate of Lewistown Community High School and attended Illinois Central College. He had worked at the former Turk's Auto Body in Liverpool, and had been the body shop manager at the former Guy Coleman dealership in Canton. He was employed as an engineer for Peoria and Western Railway.
He was a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. The family will not be present at the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the memorial garden at his church.
