He was born July 16, 1927, in rural Beardstown, a son of Ralph Casper and Norma Nadine Kloker Stock. He married Barbara Jeanette McKinley on July 10, 1949, in Beardstown. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Diana Dyer of Astoria; one son, Robert (and Juliette) of Kissimmee, Fla.; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel Spencer and Doris Tandy; and two brothers, Glen "Bud" Stock, and Kenneth Stock in infancy.
He was a lifelong farmer in Cass County and also sold federal crop insurance.
He was a member BPO Elks 1007.
He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown, where services were held Tuesday with Rev. David Natzke officiating. Burial was in Beardstown City Cemetery. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Elks Crippled Children or to his church.
