LOIS W. (FRANKS) SHEPLER STANSBERY

Lois Stansbery

Lois W. Shepler Stansbery, 76, of Roseville died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at her residence.

She was born March 17, 1928, in Camp Point, a daughter of Upton and Naomi McVey Franks. She married Harold Shepler on Aug. 30, 1947, in Colchester. He died Dec. 27, 1997.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Lonnie; and two brothers.

Surviving are five sons, Howard Shepler of Tennessee, Harold (and Patricia) Shepler and John (and Cindy) Shepler, both of Monmouth, Larry (and Joann) Shepler of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kenny Shepler of Cameron; three daughters, Sheila (and Joe) Lucero of Marblehead, Kathy (and Steve) Thompson of Roseville and Neta Hunt of Austin, Texas; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Franks of Table Grove; and two sisters, Lela Smith of Table Grove and Virginia Perrick of Bushnell.

She formerly lived in the Carthage area and rural Little York.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery with Deacon Robert Myers Sr. officiating. Corman Memorial Home in Roseville was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice in Galesburg.
