E. Marcia Shawgo, 74, of Lewistown died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Prairie View Care Center.
She was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Bader, a daughter of Jess and Ethel Danner Baum. She married Paul E. Shawgo on April 20, 1947, in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sandra (and James) Maxwell of St. David and Patti (and Gregg) Martindale of rural Lewistown; four sisters, Esther Dutton of Havana, Edith Danner of Chillicothe, Evelyn Hyzer of Lewistown and Edna (and John) Danner of Ipava; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
She worked at Illinois Bell Telephone for several years.
She later worked at the former Atwood Dana Co. in Havana until its closing.
She was a member of the Ipava American Legion Auxiliary.
She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in rural Lewistown.
Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home. Burial was in Apple Cemetery in rural Lewistown.
