ELIZABETH I. “LIBBY” (FOX) STATLER

Elizabeth Statler

Elizabeth I. "Libby" Statler, 61, of Macomb died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2002, at The Elms.

She was born Dec. 26, 1940, in Keokuk, Iowa, a daughter of James and Opal Clayton Fox. She married Gary W. Statler. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Charles (and Gigi) of Cortland; one daughter, Karen (and Jack) Lamm of Ipava; three grandchildren; and five sisters, Wanda Norris, Bonnie Johnson and Patty Bigsby, all of Rantoul, and Shirley Fox and Judy Bigsby, both of Macomb.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one brother.

She worked at King Seeley Thermos in Macomb and also was assistant manager at Casey's General Store in Macomb.

A member of Macomb Women's Bowling Assn., she was a 24-year member and held several offices of the Women's Illinois Bowling Congress.

Graveside services will be held today at Ipava Cemetery in Ipava with Harold Boyd officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. today at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the McDonough Dist. Hospital Hospice Program.
