Lorene N. Shirrell, 93, of Macomb died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at The Elms.
She was born Aug. 16, 1907, in Rosine, Ky., a daughter of Finley and Mary Leulla Liesure Nimmo. She married Eldon Shirrell on Sept. 19, 1953, in Peoria. He died March 31, 1999.
Surviving are one sister, Helen Myers of Beaver Dam, Ky., and two grandsons.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, one son and one sister.
She worked for Hiram McHenry Christian Church in McHenry, Ky.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Bluff City Cemetery with Gary Sheets officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
