Weldon Stevenson, 70, of Ipava, died at 5:05 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Albion, Neb., a son of Elsworth and Winefred Houtz Stevenson. He married Thelma Larson on June 20, 1968, in Havana. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Robert, and one daughter, Heather Stevenson, both of Ipava; two sisters, Mildred Frizen and Marian Brickel, both of Albion; and three brothers, Elwin of Jamesport, Mo., Leonard of Edmond, Okla., and Robert of Pinckney, Mich.

He was a Korean War Army veteran. He was a farmer for the past 30 years and a member of Berean Christian Church.

Services were held Monday at his church with Rev. Damien Spikereit officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
