HAROLD “BUD” SHUCK

Harold “Bud” Shuck, 81, of Canton, died at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at Renaissance Care Center.

He was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Summum, a son of Myrtle Baum. He married Virginia Donigian on Aug. 11, 1947, in Bryant. She died Jan. 31, 1998. His stepfather, Jay Baum, one brother and one sister also preceded him in death.

Surviving are one stepdaughter, Dianna Morse of Griffin, Ga.; three brothers, Paul Shuck and Jerry Baum, both of Canton, and Billy Baum of Tacoma, Wash.; one sister, Ruth Lidwell of Canton; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A World War II Army veteran, he received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of American Legion Post 16. He co-owned Shuck Bros. Sheet Metal Co. for many years and later worked for Clark & Williams Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Canton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home with Rev. Dr. Larry Campbell officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the memorial home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
