Russell D. “Buck” Shepard, 82, formerly of Bushnell, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday, April 17, 1998, at Prairie City Nursing Center.
He was born March 4, 1916, in Table Grove, a son of Ernie and Maude Walters Shepard. He married Venita Hollenback on June 12, 1943, in Palmyra, Mo. She died June 12, 1987. He also was preceded in death by one grandson, two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Gary of Wyaconda, Mo.; one brother, Wayne of Monmouth; and three sisters, Maxine Osborne of Bushnell, Melba Paul of Canton and Dorothy Simmett of Marietta.
A cementer finisher, he lived and worked constrution in the Bushnell area most of his life.
Graveside services were held Monday at Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Martin-Hollis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
