VIRGINIA ROSE (KIEFER) SHEETS

Virginia Sheets

Virginia Rose Sheets, 72, of rural West Union, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at her residence.

She was born July 13, 1925, in Terre Haute, Ind., a daughter of Jacob and Lillie Pritchard Kiefer. She married John M. Sheets on Dec. 31, 1949, in Terre Haute, Ind. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Gary Sheets of Astoria, Steve Sheets of rural West Union, and Tony Sheets of Hendersonville, Tenn.; one daughter, Johnna Beabout of Robinson; three brothers, Forest Kiefer of Carmel, Ind., Don Kiefer of Banning, Calif., and George Kiefer of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and four brothers.

She was a homemaker and a member of the West Union Christian Church. She was also a member and Past Worthy Matron of the West Union #776, Order of the Eastern Star.

Services were held Friday at the West Union Christian Church with Revs. Tom Cooperrider and Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Harrison Cemetery, west of West Union. An Eastern Star memorial service was conducted.
