Cora E. Salisbury, 98, of Heartland Health Care Center died at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 1997, at the center.
She was born June 14, 1898, in Astoria, a daughter of James and Eliza Shaffer Baker. She married Martin Marcus Salisbury on Aug. 8, 1916, in Canton. He died July 4, 1979. Two sons, John and Martin Wayne; one daughter, Juanita; two brothers; and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Hazel Groutage of Canton and Lela Camp of Bushnell; one brother, John Baker of Wasco, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Monday at Astoria Cemetery in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Heartland Health Care Center of Canton or to any charity.
