Dorothea Schisler, 81, of Macomb, died at 6:12 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 1995, at her home.
She was born April 21, 1914, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Ben and Gertrude Fowler Hillyer. She married Beryl Schisler on July 4, 1932, in Macomb. He died May 23, 1994. One sister and one grandson also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry of Vermont and Jim of Macomb; two daughters, Barbara Markley of Macomb and Sharon Schisler-Konrath of Colchester; two brothers, Gale Hillyer of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Delbert Hillyer of Bowen; two sisters, Gatha McDonald of Swan Creek and Maber Peterson of Roseville; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She had lived in Macomb since 1978 and was a member of First Baptist Church there.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Chaplain Ron Derrig-Green officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
