Harold L. Summers, 50, rural Farmington, died at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 1995, at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.

He was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., to William Howard and Viola Slinkard Summers. He married Betty McMillan on Sept. 30, 1972, in Canton. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of East Peoria; one son, Patrick Dean of Farmington; one daughter, Kelcy Kaler of Ipava; one brother, Jack, of Orlando, Fla.; and one sister, Connie Sherrill of Peoria. His father and one brother preceded him in death.

He was a school bus driver for the Laidlaw Bus Co.

He was a Korean War Army veteran.

Services were held Wednesday at Fairview Church in Millersville, Mo. Burial was in Fairview Church Cemetery in Millersville.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
