Elizabeth Shabel, 80, of Vermont, died at 12:08 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 1990, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born in Peoria Sept. 23, 1910. She married Marvin Shabel in Chicago in 1947. He died in January 1986.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Moulton of Vermont; one son, Robert Shabel of Quincy; and several grandchildren.
Mrs. Shabel received her master’s degree from Bradley University of Peoria and attended Loyola University in Chicago. She taught music at several high schools in Illinois.
Private family memorial services will be held later this week.
Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
