William Schisler Of Roseville Dies

William “Bill” E. Schisler, 66, of Roseville died at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 1990, at Monmouth Community Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 10, 1924, in Vermont, a son of Pearl and Catheryn Emig Schisler. He married Irene Sowers on March 16, 1946, in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, William Lee of Greenfield, Ind.; one daughter, Sharon Byrcroft of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two grandchildren; six brothers, Lewis, Robert and Gerald, all of Monmouth, Wilbert of Roseville, Donald of Avon and Charles of Galesburg; and three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Griffin of Rock Island, Betty Clark of Phoenix, Ariz., and Marilyn Jo Johnson of Monmouth.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He was a member of Roseville United Methodist Church, Roseville Chamber of Commerce, Roseville Fire Department, Warren County Conservation Club and the Lawson-Babbitt American Legion Post 614 in Roseville.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Corman Memorial Home in Roseville with Rev. Larry Moreau officiating. Burial was in Roseville Cemetery where military rites were conducted by American Legion Post 614.

Memorials may be made to the Roseville United Methodist Church Building Fund or Roseville American Legion Post Nursing Scholarship Fund.
