Marguerite E. Smith, 72, of Lewistown, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 1990, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born March 23, 1918, in Kerton Township, Fulton County, the daughter of George Loa and Mary E. (Lynch) Welker. She married Clarence Odell Smith on Nov. 18, 1946, in Lewistown. He died Dec. 27, 1968.
She also was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Terry A. of St. David; one sister, Clela Phalen of Havana; and four grandchildren.
She was active in many volunteer programs at Spoon River Towers in Lewistown where she was a resident.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Henry Memorial Home of Lewistown with Robert Holler officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Summum.
