VeteranLloyd Stackhouse Of Adair Dies

Lloyd L. Stackhouse, 63, of Adair died at 9:07 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 1990, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 6, 1927, in Perry, Iowa, a son of Charles and Laura Mae Adams Stackhouse. He married Helen Furniss on Oct. 20, 1976, in Cambridge. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Steven (Reba) Cowin of Adair; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Myers of Texarkana, Ark., Mrs. Eva Walker of Texarkana, Texas, and Mrs. Gladys Cushman of Perry, Iowa; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

A World War II Army veteran, he worked as an electrician and auto mechanic.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont, with Rev. Larry Sohn officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded.
