Keith Shawgo, 71, of Bella Vista, Ark., was killed in a truck-pedestrian accident in Blythe, Calif., on Saturday, Dec. 14, 1985.
He was born July 6, 1914, in Fulton County, the son of George and Eve (Jones) Shawgo. He first married Maxine Balley and she preceded him in death. He married Velma in May of 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Keith Jr. of Connecticut; two daughters, Carol Pitts of Texas and Sharon Caton of Nebraska; one stepson, Jimmy Watson of Oregon; one brother, Delbert Shawgo of London Mills; two sisters, Lela Shaw of Canton, and Nelda Brush of Lewistown; a half brother, Charles Shawgo of Canton; two half sisters, Thelma Starcevich and Wilma Long of Canton; several grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were held in Des Moines, Iowa.
