Services for Michael W. Smith, 6-year-old son of Jackie W. and Rosemary Fetkenhour Smith, who live near Norris Farms, will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Rev. Sharon Engebretson officiating. Burial will be in Browning Cemetery.
The boy drowned Sunday afternoon, June 22, 1980, when he apparently fell into the Illinois River near Norris Farms.
Born in Rushville April 13, 1974, he is survived by his parents; one sister, Teresa Ann, at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Hammans of Centralia, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bechard of Browning and Mr. and Mrs. Milbern Smith of Lewistown; great-grandmothers, Mrs. Anne Hammans of Priest River, Idaho, Mrs. Vera McMannis of Brewster, Wash., and Mrs. Doris Hamm of Beardstown.
