Tommy Stambaugh Of Aurora Dies

Woodrow Tommy Stambaugh, 66, of 708 Pine Ave., Aurora, died at his home Thursday evening, May 8, 1980 after an illness of over a year.

He was born Oct. 23, 1913, near Bader, a son of Amos S. and Cora Stroops Stambaugh. He married Miss June Wade of Browning in 1938. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Richard Stambaugh of California, and Tommy Jr. Stambaugh of Aurora; one daughter, Sharon Brue of Plano; four sisters, Violet Aten and Addie Newell of Astoria, Dollie Detrick of Browning, and Velma Hulett of Moline; several grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Aurora, and was faithful to attend. He was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad for 34 years, until his retirement a short time ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, a grandson, and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Interment was in Lincoln Memorial at Aurora.
