Mrs. Duane (Lora M.) Sly, 74, of rural Table Grove died early Thursday morning, Jan. 24, 1980, at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
Born June 24, 1905, in Newton County, Ark., a daughter of George and Adline Simmons Rylee, she married Mr. Sly Nov. 16, 1963, at Farmersville.
Surviving are her husband; four sons, Henry Nunn of Peoria, Edsel Nunn of Chillicothe, Hershel Nunn of Seattle, Wash., and John “Charles” Nunn of Lawton, Okla.; one daughter, Mrs. William (Loretta) Shadley of St. Petersburg, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two stepsons, William Sly of Grand Ridge and Willis Sly of Monmouth; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Clarence (Anna Mae) Williams of New London, Iowa, and Mrs. Tony (Shara) Tinder of Keokuk, Iowa; 12 step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Cecil Rylee, Santa Rosa, Calif.
Four brothers, one grandson and one step-grandson preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Weber Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with Rev. Paul Bonn officiating. Burial was in Chillicothe City Cemetery.
