Herman Sherman Dies In St. Louis

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Williams of Astoria, were called to St. Louis, Mo., on Saturday, Nov. 22, due to the death of Mrs. Williams’ brother, Herman K. Sherman, at Deaconess Hospital.

Herman Sherman was born in Waynesville, Ill., on Aug. 11, 1903, the son of John and Dolly Jeffery Sherman.

After leaving Waynesville, Mr. Sherman worked with his father at Lincoln and Shirley, Ill., in the garage and blacksmith business for many years before moving to St. Louis.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Compton Sherman; a son, Ralph; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter, all of Ballwin, Mo.; one brother; and three sisters. Also surviving are two cousins of Astoria, Mrs. Orville (Alice) Kessler and Mrs. Wm. F. (Ida) Connolly.

Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery in Kirkwood, Mo., on Nov. 25.
