Mrs. Ida Sergeant, 85, Lewistown, died at 7:45 p.m. Monday, May 17, at her home. She had been ill for several months.
A resident of Lewistown for 50 years, she was born March 19, 1885 in Kentucky, the daughter of John and Anna (Griswold) Hayes.
In 1904, she married Harry Sergeant, who died in 1923. She is survived by a son, Conrad Sergeant of Sherrard, two daughters, Miss Clara Sergeant of Chicago and Mrs. Aileen Campbell of Evansville, Ind., two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Henry Memorial Home, Rev. Albert Stanley officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
