Funeral services for Carl Arthur Stambaugh, 64, of Huntsville, Ala., were held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at the Shawgo Memorial Home with Rev. Curtis McDonald officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
Mr. Stambaugh, who died Thursday at Huntsville, was born Oct. 10, 1905 at Rock Island, a son of Oliver N. and Alice M. Guidenzotf Stambaugh, who formerly lived in the Astoria area. He never married.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Alice Stambaugh, St. Petersburg, Fla., and several nieces, nephews and cousins in the Astoria area.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Helson Masonic Lodge and the VFW, Huntsville.
He was district circulation manager for the St. Petersburg Times.
