Homer A. Schisler, 78, of Canton died Monday, May 20, at his home. He had been ill for the past year.
He was born in Vermont on March 30, 1890, the son of William and Lucille Phillips. He was married to Lydia Parks, who survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Fredrecia Eagleston, 37 West Walnut; and one granddaughter.
One sister died earlier.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Murphy Memorial Home, the Rev. Clyde Friend officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
